All Ride MTB founder, Jo Prothero, was introduced to mountain bike riding during her time as the Director of Marketing & Communications at Falls Creek All Season Alpine Resort, in North East Victoria.
She was fortunate enough to step into the role in 2012, at the beginning of the trail development to increase visitation outside of the traditional winter season. To say she learnt the hard way would be an understatement. Think hard-tail bike and lots of rocks. Hence, her passion is to help women learn to ride in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
To inspire and empower women to embrace the joy of mountain biking, fostering a community of confident riders who push their limits and explore the thrill of the trails.
To help facilitate more people riding mountain bikes confidently and providing a fun, supportive and encouraging environment to learn skills and participation.
We're committed to empowering an inclusive and passionate mountain biking community, fostering a sense of belonging, safety, and growth among riders of all backgrounds and skill levels.
Instrumental in positioning and promoting Falls Creek trails for over 8 years, Jo experienced firsthand what mountain biking can do for a destination and riders. The industry culture is collaborative and contagious.
Jo has progressed since those early days and is now based on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland with her partner Dave and dog Scooby and is a Professional Mountain Bike Association Level 1 Instructor. You’ll find them riding regularly at Sugar Bag, Parklands and Tewantin National Park. She is passionate about getting more females riding mountain bikes. Too often their first experience is on their partner’s old bike, down a technical trail and he wonders why she didn’t enjoy it.
Founder Jo Prothero is a Professional Mountain Biking Association (PMBIA) Level 1 Instructor and Aus Cycling Development Instructor.
We also take the safety of our riders seriously and Jo has trained in Remote Wilderness First Aid with St John.
Jo is also the local Bushrangers MTB Club, Women’s advocate group, Go G.I.R.L and organises monthly social rides across the region.
